Pink Bourbon isn't Bourbon. Everyone called it that for years because of the pink cherries, until genetic testing put it closer to an Ethiopian landrace. The name stuck anyway.

Popping candy — that's the one people notice first, a fizz on the tongue that doesn't feel like coffee. Red grape underneath, and enough winey character that it reads more like something you'd drink cold. Light body, sweet the whole way down.
Brew it cooler than you'd think. Too hot and the wine comes forward, the candy goes away.
